KVG-20S Ultra-Compact Parallel Electric Gripper-20 mm Stroke, 8–20 N

KVG-20S Ultra-Compact Parallel Electric Gripper-20 mm Stroke, 8–20 N

Ultra-compact two-finger parallel electric gripper measuring just 43 × 24 × 93.9 mm.

20 mm stroke, 8–20 N adjustable gripping force, 0.15 s closing time and

±0.02 mm repeatability. Built-in controller, I/O control.

Key Features

*Ultra-Compact Footprint:  Only 43 × 24 × 93.9 mm and 350 g — fits where standard grippers cannot.

Ideal for dense workcells and small collaborative robots.

*Fastest Closing in Class: 0.15 s for a full one-way stroke (0.3 s round trip) — shortens cycle time

on high-speed pick-and-place lines.

*4-Level Adjustable Force: Gripping force adjustable across 4 levels from 8 to 20 N — switch between

delicate and firm parts without changing hardware.

*Built-in Controller: Drive and controller integrated in the gripper body. No external cabinet,

no extra cost, minimal wiring.

*Replaceable Fingertips:The fingertip section is interchangeable — machine your own to match

specific workpiece geometry.

*No Compressed Air Required: Fully electric — replaces air compressor, filter, solenoid valve and

pneumatic gripper. Ideal for labs, hospitals and clean environments.

Dimensions

Dimensions in mm. STEP file with full mounting pattern available on request.

Applications

Electronics Assembly

Handling PCBs, connectors and small components in tight spaces.

Laboratory Automation

Gripping test tubes, reagent cards and sample trays — no air supply needed.

Small Parts Pick & Place

0.15 s cycle time for high-speed transfer of lightweight parts.

Fragile Object Handling

Soft clamping for eggs, glassware and deformable items.

Medical & Clean Environments

Electric operation suits locations without compressed air infrastructure.

Compatibility

Digital I/O interface — integrates with most collaborative and industrial

robot controllers, as well as PLC-based systems.

FAQ

Q: Is the stroke adjustable?
A: No. The KVG-20S has a fixed 20 mm total stroke (10 mm per jaw). If you need adjustable stroke, see our KVG-20 series.
Q: How is the gripping force adjusted?
A: Force is set across 4 discrete levels from 8 to 20 N.
Q: Does it support Modbus communication?
A: The KVG-20S uses digital I/O control. For Modbus RTU (RS-485), see our KVG-20P model.
Q: Is the controller included?
A: Yes, the drive controller is built into the gripper. No extra charge.
Q: Can I use custom fingertips?
A: Yes. The fingertip section is replaceable and can be machined to your workpiece.
Q: Is maintenance required?
A: Replenish grease on moving components every 6 months or 1 million cycles.
